One of the major findings of the
2005 National Capitol Region Disability Preparedness Needs Assessment is that emergency responder, emergency planning and disability special needs organizations need the opportunity to share information about how to best plan for and with persons with disabilities and other special needs in the event of an emergency.

In response, the Center for Disability and Special Needs Preparedness has initiated a discussion forum for persons with disabilities and other special needs, emergency and service/advocacy organizations to dialogue about issues relevant to our local area.

Do you have a question that only someone with a disability/special needs or a family member might answer?

Do you have a topic you would like to discuss with other emergency planners or responders?

Do you want to read what others have had to say about emergency planning for people with disabilities and other special needs in our region?

If so, please click here to enter the forum.
